Bon Viatge

(Have a good trip)

ENGLISH

Permanent exhibition in the metro station of line 4, Maresme i Fòrum, situated in the frame of the Forum de las Culturas 2004.
Enric Maurí insists on concepts like multiculturalism, mixed races and intercultural dialogue. That’s why he has echoed the current reality of Barcelona, photographing 66 people, amongst them natives and residents from different parts of the world. With these 66 faces Maurí, using lenticular technique and digital compositions, has made up a series of waves of looks and faces.
But abiding also by the expressed concept of society in permanent transformation has introduced an element that makes it possible to permanently redefine the reality of the moment as well. It’s a mirror in which the metro user is reflected and goes on to form part of the gallery of faces. This casual integration causes the project to be updated each day with the people who live in the city, who make the space of the metro real and who are an extract of the society of which they are a part, whether as residents or as tourists.
